Pairing: Ami/Zoisite
Medium: Photoshop

Notes: I imagine they went out on a date, and sort of stumbled into this abandoned castle with a piano in one of the rooms. I'm very attached to the theatrical feel of it. I think Ami would be an awesome dancer.

Whatever you did to make this look like it was painted with oils or acrylics is really awesome. Everything is gorgeous, from the plants (I love the tree outside and the leaves floating in) to their faces to the piano to everything else. And as [info]ilikebigtoes said, the contrasting palette is really beautiful.

Basically this = ♥.

This is among the most beautiful fanart I've ever seen. I love Ami's facial expression, she looks so touched. The leaves look very pretty, the piano beuatiful and the same thing goes for Zoi. You've made my beautiful without making him girly. Really really amazing picture.

My, you are incredibly talented!

Thank you! I struggled with trying to make Zoisite be a gorgeous man, and I'm glad that you think I pulled it off =)

dasgkasjgf;lkbadsfg My good night, that is beautiful!! I love how absorbed they both are in the music, how completely lost in the moment they appear. And Zoisaito on the piano ... *g*

You've hit kinks I don't think I even mentioned in my request, Anon-san, from the lost-in-time feel of it to Zoisaito's hair being unbound, and the inclusion of music. The artwork itself is absolutely stunning, and I love the orange and blue hues you've used. So, so lovely!

I don't think I can thank you enough. This is amazing! ♥

Thank you! I'm so relieved that you like it. I was afraid that I might have been a little too cliche with the piano. At first I was going to have Nephrite and Makoto sweating it at the rocks, but I couldn't come up with an interesting composition.

Zoisite's hair being out-of-control is a secret kink of mine as well so that was fun XD

Now that would have been a pretty awesome pic, too! (You should still try sometime!)

(And I also love Zoi's hair like that. I don't prefer it back in a ponytail. I just want to run my hands through it. How can Ami resist? Then again, look at how she's holding that hand. Look at her eyes. I bet she's thinking about it. Right? RIGHT!? ^.~)

This is amazing! So beautiful!! From the coloring to the posing to just..everything. I love how you included the piano, too.

And you did this completely in Photoshop? @_@ When the reveal is over, I'd love it if you coult tell me what technique you're using to get those colors/textures/effects because I've been wanting to make my own skills more "realistic median" as though it wasn't computer generated. *drools at your mad skillz*

Thank you!

Yup, completely Photoshop.

1. Colours, for the most part, are random. I did have a general starting palette: rich green for the plants, a deep moonlight atmosphere... The introduction of the secondary colour started with Zoisite's gorgeous fiery hair.
2. The textures are created with the brush palette in photoshop. By playing with the spacing, the opacity, how roundness/hardness/count jitters, you can get some really interesting effects.
3. After I finished painting, I merged all the layers and sharpened it. Then I saved it at 30% quality to get that grainy, lossy effect.

I hope that demystify some things. Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions!

But how did you...I'm not sure how to phrase it, but like [info]lover_youshould mentioned...your apparent use of other mediums such as "oils or acrylics" and the like. This looks like a real painting, not something completely computer-rendered. I would have expected to see something like this come out of Corel Painter (which I just bought and can't wait to try out!), but I've never seen anyone do anything like this in Photoshop and I'm just...awestruck. I have no clue what you did, but it looks SO amazing. *is in awe*

Agh I totally fail for not commenting on this earlier when it is SO GORGEOUS. I adore the colors, and the contrast between the warm orange tones and the cool leafy background. Ami looks so lovely and delicate in her dress, but I especially love Zoisite, who looks so strong and regal, yet delicate and pretty at the same time. I think you completely captured all that I love about him!
